  Composite Factory is a developer of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) materials technology and manufactures engineered CMC components to customers specifications.   Our CMC technology is based on traditional polymer manufacturing processes, thus the same reinforcement and molding techniques are used for these ceramic composites as are used with organic composites.   (A post cure pyrolysis cycle is used to produce final material properties for this material technology.)   Our polymer method of producing ceramic composites employs the use of Honeywell's Blackglas^TM resin, making our process the lowest cost method available in the industry for these types of components.

CFI's engineering and manufacturing capabilities add significant value to the production process, insuring correct material selection, production cost control and superior part quality.  Our integral quality procedures and personnel insure that 100% of all CMC components are inspected and approved for shipment to you. 

Synergies with our preform technology add additional flexibility and manufacturing efficiencies to the production of carbon-carbon composite products, by supplying low-cost carbon fiber preforms to exacting specifications.  These preforms significantly reduce the resistance to resin flow through the preform relative to woven architectures, thus improving wet-out and surface finish, increasing yields, and improving structural properties.
